2025 Graduate Spotlight: Aom Boonphatthanasoonthorn

May 15, 2025

Aom Boonphatthanasoonthorn earned her Master of Public Policy with a minor in national security. Throughout her time at the Baker School, she gained valuable knowledge in policy analysis and built a foundation in professional networking. Her involvement extended across several Baker School programs, including the Baker Ambassadors, the Institute Fellows Program and Local Government Interns, Vols Vote, the Alexander Hamilton Society, and her roles as both a Student and Research Assistant.

Aom credits Dr. Krista Wiegand for playing a central role in shaping her academic journey.

“From guiding me through my capstone project to involving me in her research, Dr. Wiegand has played a pivotal role in my professional development and has been instrumental in helping me achieve the milestones I’m proud of today.”

As Aom reflects on her time at the Baker School, she recognizes the personal, academic, and professional growth that has prepared her to take on future challenges with confidence and purpose.
