2025 Graduate Spotlight: Grace Hardin
Grace Hardin, a proud Baker Scholar, will graduate from the University of Tennessee in May. After graduation, she plans to return to her hometown of Nashville, Tennessee, where she will continue working at a science-themed summer camp and explore local job opportunities as she prepares to apply to graduate school abroad.
Throughout her time at UT, Grace demonstrated a deep commitment to service and leadership. She served as a Rocky Top Recovery ambassador, was part of the inaugural cohort of the Volunteer Impact Academy, became a Truman Scholarship finalist, and was recognized for Extraordinary Campus Leadership and Service.
Reflecting on her experience at the Baker School, Grace shared, “The Baker School has motivated me to go beyond what I thought I was capable of. As a member of the Baker Scholars, I’ve been surrounded by peers who are just as passionate about their policy interests as I am, and who inspire me to work hard toward the change I hope to see in our world.”
Grace credits Dr. Jon Ring, director of undergraduate studies, as one of the most influential figures in her academic journey. As she prepares for her next chapter, she feels confident and ready to take on whatever comes next.
