2025 Graduate Student: Lilly Riddley

May 15, 2025

Lilly Riddley is heading to Washington and Lee School of Law on a scholarship after earning her Master of Public Policy degree from the Baker School . She also holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from UT with a minor in philosophy.

Lilly’s time at UT has been a balance of academic achievement, leadership roles, and work commitments. She’s earned Dean’s List honors each semester, been inducted into Phi Beta Kappa, and worked for both her father’s company, Riddley Retail Fixtures, and Central Veterinary Hospital while pursuing her degree.

“The Baker School has enabled me to handle difficult coursework while also working multiple jobs,” Lilly states. “The strong study habits, economic skills, and time management skills I’ve gained will serve me well in law school and beyond.”

Her favorite memories include Dr. Michael Jones’ class during her first semester, and she fondly remembers her top three professors: Dr. Tim Fitzgerald, Dr. Jones, and Dr. Jack Mewhirter. “These three are not only professors but wonderful mentors with hearts of gold,” she said, highlighting their impact on her academic and personal growth. Her involvement on campus and the skills she gained at the Baker School are sure to help her excel.
