Southeast Energy Policy Forum

The Southeast Energy Policy Forum convenes leaders across industry, government, and research to explore emerging energy policy and technology. The 2026 date is forthcoming.

About the Forum

The annual Southeast Energy Policy Forum brings together industry leaders, nonprofits, Oak Ridge National Laboratory, Tennessee Valley Authority, and government officials for accessible policy analysis, insights into the policy process, and policy-focused technical discussions on emerging energy technologies. Past keynote speakers have included former Tennessee Governor Phil Bredesen, U.S. Representative Chuck Fleischmann, and former high-level DOE officials.

Forum Topics

This year’s Forum will tackle key topics including data center growth and innovation, project pipeline and market trends, energy price volatility, nuclear energy and workforce development, grid reliability and local impact, policy and stakeholder engagement, emerging technologies shaping future demand, and thought-provoking debates on the future of energy.

Last year’s Forum fostered meaningful dialogue around four key questions:

• What could be expected from the new administration?
• How much energy demand growth should be anticipated?
• How could infrastructure development be accelerated to meet growing demand?
• What is energy security, and how does international trade affect our energy syste
