Regional Approaches to Achieve Industrial Decarbonization in the US with Valerie Karplus

Join us for a virtual Energy & Environment Forum with Dr. Valerie Karplus, an associate professor in the Department of Engineering and Public Policy at Carnegie Mellon University. This seminar will examine the potential of regional approaches to clean energy transition to balance the need for cost-effective greenhouse gas emissions control nationwide with considerations of local distributional equity related to jobs, public revenue generation, and environmental co-benefits. The forum will focus on insights from the Roosevelt Project based on regional case studies of prospects for transition in four energy-specialized regions of the United States.
