This 12-credit certificate focuses on national security, equipping students with the skills to help them contribute to foreign policy discussions. Through the coursework students will learn how to evaluate the impact of national security policies and apply these skills to careers in defense, intelligence, or foreign affairs.

What can you do with a certificate in National Security after graduation?
Students who complete the National Security certificate in addition to a relevant major will be prepared for careers as a national security analyst, intelligence analyst, or foreign service officer. Students could pursue careers in the federal government, military, or in think tanks.
