Ben Slomski

Ben Slomski is an Assistant Professor in the Institute of American Civics at the Howard H. Baker Jr. School of Public Policy and Public Affairs. His teaching and research focus on American constitutional law, American political thought, political theory, and American political institutions. His published and ongoing research focuses on the understanding of separation of powers in American constitutionalism, the scope and limits of the Supreme Court’s power, presidential war powers, and political theory in popular culture. Previously, he taught at Baylor University, Tarleton State University, Ashland University, and Purdue University Fort Wayne, where he was Assistant Professor of Political Science and Campus Pre-Law Advisor. Slomski received a B.A. from Saint Vincent College and his M.A. and Ph.D. in Political Science from Baylor University.
