Your Future Awaits
Why Baker?
At the Baker School, we bring together scholarship, engagement, and leadership to prepare students for effective public problem solving.
Opportunities include:
Academic Programs
As the first and only institution of our kind in the state of Tennessee, the Baker School offers an education designed to produce skilled public problem solvers. Our programs provide students with the foundational knowledge, analytical skills, and leadership experience to be effective in public policy and public affairs.
Student Engagement
The Baker School offers Volunteers multiple ways to engage and grow their unique talents outside of the classroom.
Certificate Programs
Baker School certificate programs are short, focused sets of courses that allow students to develop expertise in a specific topic. Students can complete them alongside their degree or earn them as a stand-alone credential.
Faculty and Staff
Faculty and staff at the Baker School of Public Policy and Public Affairs support our mission to provide critical insights on domestic and international challenges through interdisciplinary research, experiential education, and policy engagement.
I decided to double major in public affairs and political science because I wanted a career path that would allow me to create change in the real world. I hope to help shape policy that positively impacts both my local community and the nation as a whole.
