Dr. Deborah Penchoff currently serves as Associate Director for the UT Innovative Computing Laboratory, where she directs strategic plans for synergistic projects involving internal and external partners with research focus on scientific computing applications. Penchoff is also a Research Assistant Professor at the UT Department of Nuclear Engineering. There, her research focus is on data science and High Performance Computing (HPC) applications in radiochemistry, including Rare Earth Elements (REEs) and actinides. Current projects include HPC development for Exascale computing, artificial intelligence (AI) applications, selective binding for optimization of separations of REEs and actinides, and radiotherapeutics including Ac-225.
