Sojeong Lee

Dr. Sojeong Lee is a Global Security Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at the Howard H. Baker Jr. Center for Public Policy. Lee is the current Managing Editor for the International Studies Quarterly, the flagship journal of the International Studies Association.

Lee has been chosen for the 2022-2023 U.S. Korean NextGen Scholars Program, an initiative by CSIS Korea Chair and USC Korean Studies Institute with support from The Korea Foundation.

Lee received her Ph.D. from the University of Iowa in 2018, specializing in International Relations and Comparative Politics. Her research interests center on two themes. The first focuses on water and natural resources, international conflict, international security, and climate change and environmental issues. The second focuses on South Korea’s foreign policy and security in East Asia and the Indo-Pacific.
