Tennessee vs. Florida Voter Challenge Begins

Calling on the Vol Nation to Join the 2022 Voter Challenge!
The Howard H. Baker Jr. Center for Public Policy at the University of Tennessee has challenged the Bob Graham Center for Public Service at the University of Florida this fall to a voter competition. The challenge is to complete over which school can get the most people to complete the voter registration and election reminder process.
The purpose of the challenge is to ensure that the citizens of the Vol Nation and Gator Nation are ready to cast their ballots during the midterm elections in November.
There are three steps to the competition:
- Check registration status.
- Register to vote, if needed.
- Sign-up for election reminders.
All three have to be completed to count for the competition. The steps with links are provided on the University of Tennessee’s VolsVote website. All members of the Vol Nation are welcome to participate.
The winner of the competition will be based on the number of those who complete all three steps. If you are already registered to vote, please sign-up for election reminders, which will count towards “completed missions” for the competition.
The competition starts today, Wednesday, August 24, and ends on Friday, September 23, the day before the Tennessee vs. Florida football game.
A weekly leaderboard will show the total for each school and will be updated every Friday during the competition.
