The Baker School Welcomes Students Back to Campus
In the first semester as the Howard H. Baker Jr. School of Public Policy and Public Affairs (Baker School), the school and the Institute of American Civics (IAC) are welcoming students back to campus with events from Wednesday, August 23rd – Friday, August 25th.
Events are free, open to all students, and located at the Baker School, 1640 Cumberland Ave.
Baker School Float into Fall Ice Cream Social
Wednesday, August 23, from 5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. – Come enjoy some ice cream and grab some new Baker School swag! Our student programs and the IAC will have booths with information to learn more about programs we have available.
Coffee and Donuts with Deans and Directors
Thursday, August 24, from 8:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. – Pass through our lobby for coffee and donuts between classes and meet some of the Baker School and IAC’s directors. Our Dean, Marianne Wanamaker, and new IAC Executive Director, Josh Dunn, will be stopping by to meet students too.
Baker School Courtyard Picnic: Dogs and Dogs
Friday, August 25, from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. – We’ve got your lunch covered! Sponsored by the IAC and Baker School, come have some hot dogs and mac-n-cheese while you meet some HABIT dogs. You can expect games, swag, and more!
