The U.S.-Japan Security Alliance and Economic Relations at Work in Tennessee
The U.S. and Japan are facing a transformative time in history. Universal values such as democracy, freedom, rule of law, free enterprise and transparency are under attack by powers which are willing to use military force and economic pressure to advance their particularistic interests at the cost of international norms. The U.S. and Japan are natural and logical allies, as the two major powers share the same values and interests in the Indo-Pacific region and in the international order.
This U.S.-Japan Security Alliance and Economic Relations at Work in Tennessee symposium will examine how this crucial bilateral alliance is evolving to meet new geopolitical and geoeconomic challenges by engaging experts in both military and economic security.
