J. Scott Holladay is an associate professor and John and Wanda Wisecarver Faculty Research Fellow in the Department of Economics at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. His research interests include environmental, energy, and international economics.  Before arriving at UTK in 2010, he served as a post-doctoral fellow at New York University School of Law’s Institute for Policy Integrity. He earned a PhD in economics from the University of Colorado.  

He has published more than a dozen peer-reviewed articles that have collectively been cited more than 600 times. His research has appeared in influential journals including Journal of Public Economics, Journal of Industrial Economics, and Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization. He is a co-founder and Chief Economist of Yes Energy, a data and analytics provider for participants in wholesale energy markets.
